Painting

A very new hobby that has already made its way into my heart

A recent cat painting
One of my recent attempts at painting cats

I started painting very recently, and it has been such a lovely surprise to discover how much I enjoy it. There is something really calming about sitting down with paint, slowing everything else down, and just letting myself focus on colors, shapes, and tiny details for a while.

For some reason, I have been especially drawn to painting cats. Maybe it is their expressions, maybe it is the softness in their features, or maybe I just think they make the perfect subject for art. Either way, I have been loving every attempt, even the imperfect ones.

A New Kind of Creative Outlet

What I like most about painting is that it feels very different from the rest of my life. So much of my day is structured around logic, engineering, and problem-solving. Painting gives me a space where I do not need to optimize anything. I can just experiment, make mistakes, and enjoy the process.

Since I am still at the beginning, every painting feels like a small lesson. I am figuring out how to be more patient with myself, how to trust the process, and how to appreciate progress even when it looks a little messy at first.

Hoping It Stays

I really hope painting continues with me through my journey. It already feels like one of those hobbies that can grow quietly alongside everything else in life, giving me joy without asking for perfection.

For now, I am just happy to keep painting cats, learning little by little, and seeing where this new hobby takes me.
