Jogging
One step at a time, building endurance and discipline
I've been wanting to start jogging for a really long time. You know how it is—you see people running in the morning, looking all energized and accomplished, and you think, "I should do that too." But somehow, life gets in the way, and the running shoes stay in the closet.
The Birthday Challenge
Recently, I came across this trend that's been going around: running the number of kilometers equal to the age you're turning on your birthday every year. It's such a simple yet powerful concept. A way to celebrate another year of life while pushing yourself physically.
I'm 22 this year, which means I should be running 22km. That's... ambitious, to say the least. I hope to be able to achieve it, but I'm also realistic about where I am right now. If I can't make it this year, I'll try for 23km next year. The goal isn't to be perfect—it's to keep trying.
The Beginner's Journey
I'm still very much a beginner. My pace isn't great, my form probably needs work, and some days I can barely make it through a few kilometers without feeling like my lungs are on fire. But you know what? I'm glad I've started.
There's something liberating about lacing up your shoes, stepping outside, and just running. No equipment needed, no gym membership required. Just you, the road, and your determination to keep going.
Every run is a small victory. Every kilometer is progress. And that's what matters.
